Faced with not wanting his Jeepster hood in his face and having one mangled and one missing "SAFTY CATCH" Robert Kirk decided to remanufacture the item. It is similar to original but beefier and with a different spring mechanism.

Here's what it looks like. The original catch is the shiney one made of stamped steel and the NIM (New Improved Model) is the black one made of 16 gauge plate steel complete with spring and attaching device. |
